“Anaesthesia Associates” is the trading name of The Hills Anaesthetic Group. The Group was formed in 1997 by Dr Michael Levitt, a Sydney anaesthetist, initially with four colleagues practising in the west and north west areas of Sydney. Now after ten years, it is continuing to grow and expand.

Current Status

The Hills Anaesthetic Group is composed of a group of highly skilled and qualified specialist anaesthetists with both local and overseas training. Calese Pty Ltd, a management company, owns the rooms and provides services to the anaesthetists who practice as individuals.

The anaesthetists in the group co-operate to provide locum cover to associates in the group (as well as to other anaesthetists outside the group) for holidays and ill-health. Anaesthesia and pain management services are provided to over 70 surgeons and other specialist medical providers in Sydney.

Location

Members of our group provide anaesthetic services at The Hills Private Hospital, Westmead Hospital, Westmead Private Hospital, Nepean Hospital, Nepean Private Hospital, Hawkesbury & District Hospital, Concord Hospital, Mt Druitt Hospital, Mater Hospital, Delmar Private Hospital, North Shore Private Hospital, Minchinbury Community Hospital, Prince of Wales Private Hospital, Castle Hill Day Surgery, Sydney Day Surgery, Fairfield Hospital, Strathfield Private Hospital as well as other hospitals and day surgery centres around Sydney. 

Anaesthesia Associates will re-locate to the new Norwest Private Hospital and Medical Centre when it is opened by Healthscope in Norwest Business Park, Bella Vista NSW in late 2009.

Our Staff

The staff of Anaesthesia Associates provide secretarial and accounting services to the anaesthetists in the group, and also provide receptionist services to the many specialist doctors who consult from the rooms.

As such they are often the initial contact between patients and doctors and strive to provide our patients a friendly, informed and caring service at this often stressful time.

Our practice manager, Sue Beavis, has many years of experience running a specialist medical practice. She is assisted by senior staff Christine Williams, Louise Spencer, Gaye Moloney, Sue Gilligan and other staff members in delivering an efficient but friendly and approachable “front office” for our practice.
